BIFIRE is a company specialized in the development and production of advanced solutions for
thermal insulation and
passive fire protection, targeting the building, industrial, and marine sectors. The company stands out for its strong focus on technological innovation, offering certified, high-performance systems designed to meet the demands of complex interventions in both new construction and retrofit projects. BIFIRE's portfolio includes solutions for fire safety, energy containment, and building envelope protection, with a consistent focus on quality, sustainability, and technical support throughout all stages of the project.
BIFIRE: passive fire protection systems for architecture
Passive fire protection is one of BIFIRE’s core areas of expertise, with a comprehensive and technologically advanced range of products certified according to the most stringent Italian and European standards. These systems are engineered to ensure excellent fire resistance, long-term reliability, and fast installation, addressing the needs of architects, contractors, and developers alike. The offering includes panels for refurbishing walls and floors, solutions for suspended ceilings and partition walls, systems for protecting ventilation ducts and structural elements, and devices for wall and slab penetrations. Among the flagship products is
Aquafire®, a fiber-reinforced lightweight cement board that is non-combustible (Euroclass A1), water-resistant, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use—even in critical environments. CE marked and VOC A+ certified, Aquafire® is designed to deliver mechanical strength, installation flexibility, and full compatibility with finishing systems, also contributing to LEED credits. Complementing the range is
Aquaglass®, a fiber-reinforced gypsum board with fiberglass mesh on both sides, notable for its lightness, flexural strength, and easy workability—making it ideal for partitions and ceilings, even in high-humidity contexts.
High-performance thermal insulation systems by Bifire
Alongside fire protection, BIFIRE also develops highly technological
thermal insulation systems, tailored to meet growing demands for energy efficiency and thickness reduction. The company’s proprietary
NANEX® technology led to the development of
VACUNANEX®, a vacuum insulation panel (VIP) with extremely low thermal conductivity (0.004 W/mK) and an application range from -70°C to +80°C. VACUNANEX® is the only CE-marked VIP panel and achieves the same insulation performance as traditional materials at up to one-tenth of the thickness—unlocking new design possibilities, especially for retrofit projects and spatially constrained applications. The system is available in various configurations bonded to a 3 mm fiber-reinforced lightweight cement board:
Vacunanex® BS for subfloor, partitions, and ceilings;
Vacunanex® Cappotto for interior and exterior thermal cladding; and
Vacunanex® Roof for roof insulation. Each version is available in different thicknesses and formats to suit specific project needs. Thanks to an integrated approach combining research, certification, and specialist technical support, BIFIRE acts as a technological partner for the design of safer, more efficient, and sustainable buildings—offering reliable solutions for both passive fire protection and high-performance thermal insulation.
