Founded in 1972 in Limena as a small artisan workshop specializing in polystyrene production, Elle Esse quickly recognized the potential of this versatile, eco-friendly material. In addition to offering outstanding thermal and acoustic insulation performance, polystyrene is fully recyclable and has virtually unlimited durability. Driven by a passion for innovation, Elle Esse shifted its focus to the building and construction industry—an area in which the company steadily grew in both technological development and production capacity. In the early 2000s, Elle Esse began concentrating almost exclusively on manufacturing environmentally sustainable insulation materials for the construction sector. This strategic shift fueled rapid growth, leading to the opening of a new headquarters in Piazzola sul Brenta and a state-of-the-art production facility in Noventa di Piave, featuring cutting-edge technology for polystyrene expansion and sintering. In 2017, Elle Esse further expanded with the acquisition of a third production site in Campobasso, which underwent significant technological upgrades.
