Libeco is a Belgian family company established in 1858. The main business division focuses on weaving and selling fabric to manufacturers and fabric editors worldwide. Libeco Home, the finished products division, offers a collection of bed linen, table linen, kitchen linen, home accessories and bags. Raymond Libeert is now the fifth generation of the Libeert family to lead the business. The design heritage of Libeco Home began with Raymond's grandmother Renee, continued with his sister Catherine and is now led by his wife Amy. In Belgium, like in France and Holland we are surrounded by flax fields- flax is in the DNA of the country, as well as the Libeert family.

Belgian flax as the basis of Libeco textile collections

Libeco Home's foundation is built on designing and creating products with one of the most extraordinary natural fibers on earth, one growing on our doorstep: flax. Flax is easily distinguishable from other fibers because of its unique coloring capabilities and characteristic texture and hand when transformed into linen. Libeco has been making linen from flax for more than 165 years and considers it a gift to be able to work with such an incredible fiber. The Libeco Home collection has evolved a lot over the past 50 years. What started primarily as classic bed and table linen has grown into a broader collection driven by a mix-and-match concept. Libeco encourages designers to combine items within and between collections, both past and present. With the current product range of bed linen, table linen, rugs, curtain fabrics and complementary accessories, it is possible to complete entire interior design projects.

Libeco: sustainability and quality of raw materials

Libeco's commitment to responsible production is at the core of our existence. The company reduces the CO2 emissions of its facilities through solar panels at our factory and wind power from the North Sea, offsetting the remainder by supporting environmental projects. As Libeco wants to leave behind as little waste as possible, most of the collection consists of pure linen and natural linen blends. Some performance items include limited synthetic components where necessary for functionality. Libeco proudly carries the prestigious Belgian Linen™ quality label, a designation held by only six weavers globally. This certification guarantees that linen is woven in Belgium from at least 85% European flax fibers, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship, traceability and authenticity.
