Scandinavian Decorative Lighting: The Design of Pholc Lamps
Founded in 2015 by Maja and Samuel Norburg, Pholc was created with the goal of redefining Swedish design standards through an innovative and conscious visual language. The company focuses its production on pendant lamps, wall lamps, and table lamps, developed in collaboration with designers from various backgrounds, chosen for their ability to interpret the brand’s identity with bold and original approaches. A significant example of this vision is the recent collaboration with the Milan-based
Studiopepe, which led to the creation of the
Dream Catcher lamp. Presented during Milan Design Week 2025 as part of the installation Aria. A medium for connection, the Dream Catcher pendant is characterized by organic shapes, graphic elements, and a dynamic light composition that changes depending on the viewing angle. The lamp is available in two versions – Arc and Bow – and is conceived as a sculptural object capable of conveying a sense of protection, serenity, and playfulness.
