The Swiss company, Sky-Frame, manufactures
frameless sliding window systems. Beat Guhl, the company's CEO, created and developed this unique product. As an apprentice and then as a specialist in metal construction at the University of St. Gallen, the Swiss businessman founded R&G Metallbau AG in 1993 with his partner Jakob Rüegg. In 2002, Beat Guhl patented the first Sky-Frame system, earning great pubic and industry success. The unique feature of these frameless and sill-less

Sky-Frame has been awarded numerous international prizes for technological and architectural innovation and has obtained important certifications like the energy sustainability of buildings certified by the Swiss Minergie® standard. By 2011, the brand was present on all continents. In 2015, Sky-Frame AG, independent from the parent company, was founded in Frauenfeld. Continuous research and innovation have contributed to the success of the various Sky-Frame systems developed over the years. They are now installed in such buildings as the Garangula Art Gallery in Australia and The Fontenay hotel in Hamburg. All Sky-Frame windows are manufactured in Switzerland and can be seen in showrooms in Rothrist (Switzerland), Vienna, Milan, London and Los Angeles.

Classic line is the progenitor of the Sky-Frame system, characterised by great versatility thanks to the different opening variants and additional functions. The top-of-the-line Sky-Frame 3 comes with triple glazing, which can now be implemented with Sky-Frame Plain, initially only available in the Sky-Frame 1 and Sky-Frame 2 models. The invisible guide minimises any discontinuity between interior and exterior floor surfaces. Among the add-ons, the catalogue offers the pleated retractable Fly insect screen, the Sky-Frame Touch electric opening button, bullet-proof glazing, the Sun shading system and the reinforced and airtight Hurricane version. The Classic range also includes the Pocket sliding window whose glazing panels disappear into the walls, and Inline fixed glazing featuring mullions with only 30 mm visible.

Sky-Frame Pivot door is based on a pivot configuration that allows easy and effortless opening. The door frame and profile have a visible width of only 40 cm . The Pivot door can be combined with fixed glass panels on both sides and meets all safety, thermal and acoustic insulation criteria. Large-format glazing makes this product truly unique.
