Snaidero is an Italian company specialising in the design and manufacture of kitchens. Founded in 1946 in Majano, in the province of Udine, by Cavalier Rino Snaidero, the company is one of the leading players in the history of Italian-made kitchen furniture. From its very beginnings, Snaidero has stood out for its innovative approach to kitchen design, introducing the concept of modularity and helping to transform the kitchen into a functional, customisable space that is increasingly integrated into domestic life.

The brand’s growth has been accompanied by significant collaborations with designers, architects and creative professionals who have shaped its identity. In 1966, Michele Provinciali created the famous Snaidero logo, characterised by a graphic symbol inspired by the concept of modularity. Two years later, Spazio Vivo was launched, designed by Virgilio Forchiassin, one of the first truly modular kitchens, which subsequently entered the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York. In the years that followed, Snaidero consolidated its role on the international design scene through collaborations with designers such as Michele Sbrogiò, Gae Aulenti, Lucci and Orlandini, Massimo Iosa Ghini and Giovanni Offredi. Since 1990, the partnership with Pininfarina has given rise to some of the brand’s most iconic models, including Ola and Vision.

Today, Snaidero distributes its products in over 60 countries and offers a comprehensive range of solutions that goes beyond the traditional concept of the kitchen to embrace a broader vision of contemporary living. Alongside its kitchen ranges, the brand develops solutions dedicated to dining and living areas, with design elements that connect spaces, define their boundaries and promote visual and functional continuity. Partition systems, storage units, panelling and architectural elements become tools for designing space, capable of organising and connecting the different areas of the home. A philosophy born of constant research into materials, technologies and ways of using domestic spaces, which has helped consolidate Snaidero’s role among the leading international players in Made in Italy design.

Sistema and Icone: the Snaidero collections

The Snaidero range is organised into two main design areas: Sistema and Icone. The Sistema collection comprises modular ranges characterised by high compositional flexibility and extensive customisation options. The various configurations allow the design to be adapted to contemporary spaces, promoting continuity between the kitchen and living area through a wide range of elements, accessories and bespoke solutions.

The Icone collection, on the other hand, brings together the brand’s most iconic models, characterised by strong design content and a recognisable formal identity. Among these, Ola and Vision stand out, born from the collaboration with Pininfarina, which reinterpret the kitchen environment through fluid lines, sculptural forms and advanced technological solutions. Woods, lacquers, glass, natural stone, laminates, aluminium, steel and high-tech surfaces form the company’s material heritage, combined with a constant focus on build quality and attention to detail. Thanks to a balance between design, research and appeal, Snaidero continues to develop projects that interpret the evolution of contemporary living.
