Vetrospace is a Finnish company specializing in the design and manufacture of modular acoustic pods for offices, public spaces, healthcare facilities and industrial environments. Headquartered and manufactured in Littoinen, in the Turku region, the brand combines technology, comfort and sustainability to create true "rooms within rooms", designed to enhance air quality, acoustics and well-being in shared work environments. Founded in 2009 with the aim of developing more efficient solutions for the modern office, the company stems from the experience of a group of professionals with over thirty years of expertise in glass and interior architecture. The very name “Vetrospace” merges the transparency of glass with the concept of space as a flexible, tech-driven element. All products are designed and manufactured in Finland, following a production model rooted in Nordic quality, material durability and environmental responsibility. Since 2021, following the investment of Verso Capital, the brand has embarked on a phase of international expansion, consolidating its presence in both European and global markets.

Vetrospace modular pods: acoustic comfort, clean air and sustainability

Vetrospace’s development has evolved in step with the transformation of contemporary workplaces. Since 2017, the company has focused its research on the design of independent acoustic pods, engineered to solve two of the most critical issues of open-plan environments: ambient noise and poor indoor air quality. This research has given rise to prefabricated solutions that combine glass walls, aluminum structures and automated ventilation systems managed by CO₂ sensors. The product line includes a full range of modular models, from the smallest Vetrospace XS to the largest Vetrospace XXL, spanning from individual booths for phone calls and video meetings to meeting rooms for up to eight or ten people. Every version is equipped with patented smart ventilation, HEPA H13 filtration and visible light disinfection (VLD), all features that contribute to creating healthy, quiet and comfortable environments. Vetrospace pods offer class A acoustic performance according to ISO 23351-1, with sound reduction up to 46 decibels, and achieve air purity levels comparable to ISO 7 clean rooms.
For Vetrospace, the pod is not merely a piece of furniture but an architectural micro-environment that can be adapted to any setting. Each unit can be installed without building work, quickly and with minimal impact on the surrounding space. The company provides architects and designers with an extensive selection of technical resources, including 3D models, CAD files and supporting documentation, to ease pod integration into interior design projects. The understated, essential style, imbued with Nordic identity, reflects the balance between engineering, functionality and environmental well-being. The Helsinki and Turku showrooms are key destinations for architects and designers looking to experience the brand's build quality and technological solutions firsthand. Vetrospace's approach is based on an integrated vision of design, where acoustic comfort, air purity and sustainability become tools to enhance the quality of workspaces and collective environments. Attention to health, energy efficiency and adaptability reflects the values of Scandinavian design in contemporary form, blending technical precision with environmental sensitivity. In this equilibrium between architecture and engineering, Vetrospace establishes itself as a benchmark for a new generation of modular spaces dedicated to well-being and productivity.

Functional design for workspaces and healthcare settings

Vetrospace’s offering stands out for its technical and functional approach, grounded in key principles: air quality, acoustic insulation, design flexibility, use-centered design and local production. The pods are available in two main configurations, AIR and CLEAN. The former is intended for work environments and features automated ventilation regulated by carbon dioxide sensors and G4 filtration. The latter, designed for the healthcare sector, ensures superior hygiene thanks to HEPA H13 filtration and Spectral Blue VLD antibacterial lighting, which continuously disinfects the interior surfaces. These solutions are used in a variety of contexts: in offices and public spaces as zones for concentration or meetings; in healthcare facilities as areas for consultations, waiting rooms or temporary clinical spaces—adopted by institutions such as Docrates Cancer Center and HUS University Hospital in Finland; and in industrial settings, where they are installed directly on the production floor to ensure thermal comfort, acoustic isolation and clean air for technical personnel. Sustainability is at the core of the company’s philosophy. The aluminum profiles are made of 100% recycled material, the glass is Cradle to Cradle certified, and the wooden components come from FSC- and PEFC-certified forests. All structural parts are designed to be disassembled and recycled, allowing for the repair and reuse of components and extending product lifespan. The entire manufacturing process is handled in Finland, allowing direct control over production and sourcing, and minimizing the environmental impact of logistics.
