Vincent Sheppard is a Belgian company specializing in the production of
indoor and outdoor furniture, home furnishings and accessories. The company was founded in 1992 as the brainchild of a group of entrepreneurs who were admirers of Lloyd Loom furniture. These particular pieces of furniture, created by an American entrepreneur, enjoyed enormous success in the United States and England in the period between the two world wars. Vincent Sheppard was founded with the purpose of importing
Lloyd Loom furniture, but already only 3 years after its founding, the owners decided to design and produce the furniture themselves. For this they choose to locate production in Cirebon, Indonesia, an area known for rattan processing. The choice proves to be a winning one, so much so that Vincent Sheppard is now present in 80 countries and boasts a large and varied catalog, which includes, in addition to Loyd Loom furniture, furniture in rattan, wood, aluminum, rope, marble, and HPL.

The history of Loyd Loom furniture goes back to the beginning of the last century, when a rattan furniture manufacturer, Marshall Burns Lloyd of the United States, was faced with a shortage of raw material. To cope with the problem he thought of a substitute for rattan, and invented a technique of twisting paper around a wire. The idea was an immediate success, and from then on furniture made with this technique was named after its inventor. The furniture in the Vincent Sheppard catalog is made from kraft paper and steel wire and is painted in the RAL color scheme. The
Alex seating collection is made with a rattan frame, Loyd Loom shell and fabric-covered foam upholstery. The collection includes a lounge chair and a sofa. Winking at the Bauhaus style is the
